Water bath separator
The water-bath separator is a stationary or mobile installation for separating the light fraction from C&D pre-screened material.
Description
The waterbed separator consists of a water-filled tank that features an integrated StarScreen® to separate floating materials and a conveyor to discharge non-floating input. The dimensions feeding the water-bath separator are generally > 10mm and < than 250mm. Due to an upstream waterflow, the lighter materials are taken out of the material stream. These materials travel over a double-deck fine screen where the water is taken out and the materials fall into a residue bunker at the end of the screen. The heavier material is transported by the incline chain conveyor from the bottom of the top tank to the granulate bunker, or can be send over a quality control sorting line, for the final check for materials, such as PVC.
